Role Description:

The PTP Platform is a leading-edge, cloud-based Securities Processing solution that provides trade lifecycle processing for a wide range of global financial institutions.

We are looking for a senior UI/UX developer with deep knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem for both desktop and ASP.NET Core, ideally with experience of the Blazor framework and Telerik component library.

You will have a strong eye for design with solid problem-solving skills, be sharp and well-motivated, and enjoy working in a flexible, agile environment. As well as excellent programming skills the candidate will be familiar with all phases of the software development lifecycle and best programming practice.

Responsibilities include

  • Analysis of user requirements and translation into solution design using the most appropriate technique for the job (including mockups and POCs)
  • Accurate task breakdown and estimation
  • Implementation of new screens and components that are configurable, extensible and testable
  • Adherence to relevant design and style guides, and willingness to contribute towards these as required
  • A focus on quality and shipping working code to users in the most efficient timeframe
  • Collaborate on code reviews and best practice within a small, agile, focused team
  • A willingness to undertake QA on new UI development if required

We’re looking for

  • An analytical mind / approach to problem solving
  • An ability to work proactively with minimal supervision
  • 7+ years of commercial software development experience using C#/.NET, including algorithms, data structures and architecture
  • Experience using SQL databases (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience with the Blazor framework beneficial
  • Building complex SPAs in ASP.NET Core in the context of a service / API oriented architecture
  • A willingness to get involved in detail and to get the job done.
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Experience of Infragistics/Telerik controls a plus
  • Experience of WinForms would be helpful.
  • Linux experience a bonus
  • Experience of financial markets and the trade lifecycle beneficial
