PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Technical Marketing Manager based in Manchester, Sweden or Ireland, on a permanent basis reporting to the Senior Marketing ManagerFounded in 1904, Portwest has become one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,100 staff worldwide. With 1400 styles across more than 20 ranges, we design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities. We’re on a mission to become the world’s most requested PPE and Safety Wear Brand.
JOB SUMMARY:

As the Technical Marketing Manager you will shape and execute strategic marketing initiatives for our Flame Resistant (FR) and Multinorm Collection. This role is pivotal in strengthening our brand presence, driving product adoption, and positioning Portwest as the first choice for safety-focused professionals worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have strategic marketing expertise and ideally understand the Safety workwear market. They will have experience delivering campaigns that resonate with both B2B distributors and end-users across diverse industries and be willing to travel as the business requires.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic planning
    • Develop and execute the global marketing strategy for the FR and Multinorm product lines.
    • Work closely with product development, technical sales, and the wider marketing team to align campaigns with business goals.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Portwest stays at the forefront of innovation.
  • Campaign Management
    • Design and manage multi-channel campaigns (digital, trade shows, print, and PR) to drive awareness and demand.
    • Create product positioning and messaging tailored to different regions and market sectors.
    • Create and oversee the delivery of marketing collateral, sales tools, and technical content.
  • Market Insights & Performance
    • Conduct market research to identify customer and end user needs and trends,
    • Track and analyse campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Collaborate with distributors and partners to amplify reach and impact.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in technical apparel, PPE, or an industrial B2B sectors.
  • Proven track record in strategic campaign development and execution.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, trade marketing, and brand positioning.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical product information and translate it into compelling marketing content.
  • Experience working in a global, fast-paced environment.
