This role is part of our eBay Inhouse team, where you will be employed by DEPT and embedded into eBay's Customer Moment team. 

JOB PURPOSE

As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be tasked with cultivating robust relationships with clients across all levels. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing test-and-learn strategies, as well as crafting a personalised and engaging CRM experience for every eBay customer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Constantly innovate, improve and identify opportunities to optimise existing product functionality and introduce new improved customer experiences and drive thinking through wider teams.
  • Act as Senior point of contact between DEPT and eBay teams, you are maintaining the trusted relationship and building new connections across the business with both ebay and DEPT. 
  • Responsible for informing DEPT of upcoming eBay projects and strategies.
  • Driving innovation on new eBay projects, developing the test & learn strategy across markets and working on operational models that consider regional differences. 
  • Developing analytics and insights to establish a format that supports eBay's CRM KPIs. Utilise this data to craft compelling narratives about customer success stories for senior stakeholders and identify data driven risks and opportunities supported by actionable recommendations. 
  • Ensure learnings from project initiatives are taken into account across wider campaign delivery and proactively coach other members of the team to deliver best practice.
  • Management of stakeholder relationships to meet deadlines and ensure projects are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
  • Support the senior team with administrative tasks if required. 
  • Build a full understanding of the clients’ business, strategies, objectives, brand,
audiences and challenges, advising on the communications solution that best meets their needs, with a view to becoming their trusted adviser.
  • Ensure the right DEPT® team is in place to deliver, high standards are maintained and adding value wherever possible. Ensure success criteria are met and projects are delivered to time and to budget.
  • Hold key new business development responsibilities, working with others DEPT teams to proactively seek new opportunities for the business.
  • Presentation of campaigns to senior stakeholders to engage, influence and inspire.

Management and leadership

  • Delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end. 
  • Interview candidates and hire according to account requirements. 
  • Conduct performance reviews of team members and identify areas of improvement, give feedback and recommend for promotions or salary increments. 
  • Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence. 
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and suitably make changes if required. 
  • Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation and appreciate team contribution. 
  • Match project tasks with opportunities for development so that employee potential is utilised to the maximum. 
  • Manage change and effectively cascade information to teams to ensure smooth execution.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 7 years experience delivering broad range of multi-channel marketing CRM and owned channel communications
  • Extremely organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet and manage deadlines with ease and efficiency. 
  • Highly motivated self starter with can-do approach to new challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A great team player and team building skills.
  • People management / leadership skills.
  • Excellent negotiator with good networking ability. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team giving guidance and feedback. 
  • Resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues. 
  • Understanding of the production & interactive processes.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to manage and develop client and supplier relationships. 
  • Ability to commercially manage budgets. 
  • Proven business development experience and success.
