We are seeking an experienced Senior Global Public Relations Manager to strategize and execute our public relations campaigns across our international markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing JD.com's brand image, managing media relations, and coordinating with various business units to ensure a cohesive and effective global PR strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global public relations strategy that aligns with JD.com's business goals and brand values.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of PR activities, including media outreach, press releases, PR events, and speaking opportunities for executives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with international media outlets, influencers, and key opinion leaders.
  • Oversee the creation of PR content, ensuring it is consistent, timely, and impactful across different regions and cultures.
  • Monitor global media coverage, analyze PR campaign performance, and provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing, investor relations, and other departments to ensure integrated communications and brand consistency.
  • Manage crisis communication strategies and respond to negative PR issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide PR guidance and support for product launches, corporate initiatives, and partnerships in multiple markets.
  • Lead and mentor a team of PR professionals, setting clear goals and managing performance.
  • Stay abreast of global trends, industry challenges, and opportunities to position JD.com as a thought leader and innovator in the e-commerce space.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in public relations, with a proven track record in managing global PR campaigns.
  • Strong existing media relationships and the ability to develop new contacts across international markets including the UK market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling stories that resonate with a global audience.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to PR and a keen understanding of the media landscape.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing and building teams.
  • A deep understanding of cross-cultural communication and the ability to tailor messaging to different markets is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in crisis management and corporate communication.
  • Proficiency in Chinese or other European languages.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Experience in the e-commerce, technology, or retail industry is highly preferred.
  • Master's degree.
