Join a greenfield team building Midnite’s internal back-office platform from the ground up. As a player-manager, you will lead three engineers while remaining hands-on with Python and Vue. You will drive AI experimentation, leveraging LLMs and RAG to automate engineering workflows and enhance operational efficiency across this high-growth, Series C startup.

What you will do:
Design and maintain the backend systems and operational dashboards that power Midnite’s internal platform using Python, Flask, and AWS.
Lead and mentor a team of three engineers, managing sprint planning, professional development, and technical direction as a player-manager.
Prototype and ship AI-powered improvements such as automated code review tooling, intelligent alerting, and internal assistants for non-technical teams.
The ideal candidate:
7+ years of backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python and a high bar for software architecture and engineering standards.
Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers in a hands-on capacity while successfully delivering complex technical projects in a production environment.
Practical experience integrating LLMs and AI APIs into real products, with a curiosity for emerging frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or RAG pipelines.
