We are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Accounting for an 18 month Fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to join at an exciting time as we continue to plan for future expansion in a role that provides exposure to global teams and senior leaders.

Our Finance Global Shared Service Centre based on the CSL Seqirus site in Liverpool (Speke) supports our 3 main businesses: CSL Behring, CSL Seqirus and CSL Vifor globally and is expanding.

The role is part of the Account to Report team and is responsible for the Financial Accounting for one or more statutory legal entities to deliver accurate and timely execution of our month end reporting, account reconciliations, audit support and forecast and budget planning.

This role will take ownership of each respective entities trial balance, performing complex transactions to ensure accurate accounting treatment in line with both IFRS and UK GAAP. It also requires the ability to build relationships quickly, working with a broad group of business partners across multiple departments to facilitate problem resolution, support ongoing projects and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

For each allocated legal entity, the Senior Reporting Accountant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Owning the statutory audit and reporting process, including providing timely and complete audit deliverables, liaising with the group and local audit teams to work through any areas requiring further understanding, in order to facilitate the sign off of year end and half year audit

  • Owning the month end close process; reconciling accounts, postings/reviewing journal entries required to maintain accurate general ledger with key focus given to balance sheet and inter-company accounts

  • Supporting the team’s accounts assistants in day-to-day operations providing guidance and coaching where required

  • Owning quarterly forecast and yearly budget submissions, reconciling planning tool through to consolidation tool, planning for the balance sheet and cashflow

  • Supporting the business in the financial transacting of data within the SAP ERP system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA/ACCA or equivalent preferred

  • 5 years' relevant experience in a multi-national company or assurance

  • Knowledge of GAAP and AIFRS

  • Background in audit or lead participation role in statutory audits

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • The position also requires the ability to build and maintain sound relationships and collaborate effectively with multiple levels and cross functionally with Finance Business Partners and various Finance Centres of Excellence

This role is based out of our Financial Shared Service Centre, Speke, Liverpool.

Hybrid role: Office based Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
