The Senior Finance Analyst plays an integral role in supporting the key financial and commercial interests of the Consumer Performance Unit. Providing insightful and effective support to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the role holder is responsible for providing value-adding reporting and management information, trend analysis and robust commercial modelling to support investment proposals, sitting at the forefront of key decision making whilst shaping the future growth and direction of the Consumer business.

The role holder must develop a deep understanding of the relevant commercial drivers and have a passion to consistently improve and deliver a great customer experience. The role will provide expert advice in dealing with highly complex and high-risk issues across a range of situations. P&L ownership for key business areas includes senior stakeholder management, operational and strategic guidance, business case financial modelling and a strong focus on commerciality.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • P&L ownership of key business areas guided by detailed understanding of operational and strategic objectives and a focus on commerciality.
  • To own the ongoing maintenance, development, and continual improvement of weekly and monthly segment performance reporting.
  • To ensure the quality and analysis of key sales and financial data is maintained to the highest standard to enable fact-based, insightful decision making.
  • To ensure that any risks to achievement of business targets are understood, addressed, and escalated where appropriate.
  • To support the Senior Finance Business Partner in providing financial modelling and business evaluation of new products and propositions, improving commercial understanding on price, mix and value.

Key Skills needed for this role:

  • Part qualified/ newly qualified accountant or equivalent experience in a finance environment
  • High energy problem solver with drive and ability to work under pressure
  • Analytical and numerate
  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to champion continuous improvement and customer focus
