ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Poland and Croatia. 


ABOUT PROJECT 

Our client is a financial company in the USA, providing services for institutional investors. This organization offers a cloud-based platform for multi-asset class portfolio management, reporting, and analytics.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Apache Airflow for orchestrating and scheduling data workflows
  • Advanced SQL skills, including experience with complex queries and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt, including data modeling and optimization
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C# with experience in data manipulation libraries
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Apache Airflow
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Implement and optimize data models in Snowflake
  • Develop Python scripts and C# utilities for data processing, analysis, and automation
  • Collaborate with data analysts to ensure data availability and quality
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for improved performance
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation
