Salary: From £50,000 per annum plus benefits

Shift pattern: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
Location : Hybrid / Staines (TW18 3DZ) or Manchester (M30 3SP) 1 day min in office per month

Role Overview
The Senior Data Governance Analyst will play a critical role in embedding data governance best practices across market-unit product squads. This position is responsible for ensuring that products adhere to robust guardrails for responsible and safe data use. As the subject matter expert for Data Governance within product teams, you will champion best practices, influence design decisions, and ensure governance principles are integrated throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires expertise in data governance frameworks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to uphold organisational standards.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
Implement and Evolve Governance Frameworks: Establish and continuously improve data governance frameworks, policies, and controls to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all domains.
Act as Product Team SME: Serve as the subject matter expert for Data Governance within product squads, ensuring designs and implementations adhere to governance standards and best practices.
Advise and Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders, shaping decisions on governance strategy, compliance, and risk management.
Develop Governance Assets: Lead the creation and adoption of key artefacts such as data dictionaries, catalogues, lineage documentation, and metadata repositories.
Champion Data Literacy: Promote data literacy across the organisation by designing and delivering education programmes for non-data professionals.
Integrate Governance with Platforms: Drive governance integration with strategic platforms (e.g., Dynamics CRM, Snowflake, Power BI) and ensure alignment with agile delivery models.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Lead governance efforts for compliance with regulations, ensuring robust controls and audit readiness.
Align with Organisational Goals: Collaborate with IT and business units to align governance initiatives with organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
Represent Governance in Forums: Influence enterprise architecture, data strategy, and digital transformation initiatives through active participation in governance forums.
Maintain Documentation: Keep governance processes and tools up to date to ensure effective knowledge management.
Foster Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Data Office teams to ensure clarity of roles and collaborative support.
Mentor Junior Professionals:Guide and develop junior governance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
Proven 2 years experience as a Senior Data Analyst, ideally in a complex, regulated environments.
Deep knowledge of data management principles, governance frameworks, and industry best practices.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to drive cultural change around data.
Strong technical expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, and familiarity with Azure DevOps, confluence.
Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR) and risk management.
Experience with metadata management, data quality tooling, and MDM platforms.
Familiarity with Dynamics CRM or equivalent technology is favourable.
Experience with Product Operating Model approaches is preferred.
Professional certifications such as DCAM, CDMP, highly desirable.
