About the Role

As senior credit controller, you will play a pivotal part in assisting our Credit Manager to lead the credit control teams within our Ingenuity division. You will lead, coach and act as an escalation point for our high achieving credit control teams. Whilst it is important that you can demonstrate the skills detailed above, you will also have your own portfolio of clients. As the senior credit controller, we would expect you to lead by example, displaying all the behaviours and practises that we expect from the team. You will be someone who aspires to tread a path of continuous growth. As part of the role, you will gain exposure to reporting, billing, underwriting and senior stakeholder management. You will be the key link between the Credit Manager and the rest of the credit team.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise, supervise and monitor the teams’ activities efficiently and effectively to ensure all debt reduction targets, cash collection targets, SLA’s and KPI’s are met.
  • Provide expertise and act as first point of reference to resolve business critical issues
  • Act as coach for team members.
  • Act as first point of escalation for resolving internal and external credit and AR issues.
  • Manages incoming requests through workflow and schedules activities appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external counterparts, sales & operational teams, insurance brokers, internal customers and business partners.
  • Strives to achieve best practice performance levels as per benchmarks agreed with the Ingenuity Credit Manager
  • Deliver Weekly Reporting of Aged Debt performance
  • Deliver insurance cover requirements for your divisions, working with the Ingenuity Credit Manager to ensure T&C’s of our Insurance Policy are met.
  • Manage month end closure and re-opening effectively in line with the rest of the Group.
  • Process Management and Improvement · Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives. 
  •  Organise periodic feedback sessions for the team. 
  •  Evaluates new processes and ensures training material is produced for all team members.
  • Trains and develops each team member with the latest process updates.
  • Document key processes.

Requirements:

  • A shared service environment would be desirable.
  • Proven track record of high performance with Credit Control and Accounts Receivables.
  • Instil a responsive ‘right first time’ approach.
  • Experience in Managing a Trade Credit Risk Insurance Policy.
