Salary from: £80k - £100K + 10% bonus + fantastic benefits

As Senior Cloud Security Engineer you will provide technical support for the design, development, testing, integration and maintenance of Cloud Security tooling across the Bupa Global, India and UK (BGIUK) Market Unit. Acting as subject matter expert with a strong background in engineering, you will utilise your technical skill and expertise to support and oversee the implementation and operation of Cloud Security technology to ensure that Cloud platforms and workloads are secure throughout their lifecycle.

How you’ll help us make health happen

•  Design, configure, develop, integrate, deploy and maintain Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) and Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) technologies
• Provide subject matter expertise in complex Cloud Security design issues ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient and secure
• Integrate Cloud Security tooling with our cloud platforms and enterprise systems, applications and directories (e.g., Active Directory, MS Entra)
• Support a product management approach to drive continuous improvement in controls, including infrastructure as code, CI\CD and DevOps
• Ensuring Cloud Security platforms are aligned to evolving regulatory and security requirements
• Monitor Cloud Security tooling to ensure security and availability of Cloud Security platforms
• Identify and deliver automation and optimisation in delivery of Cloud Security tooling
• Implement scripts, APIs, and orchestration tools to improve
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across Technology, security, compliance and business units to democratise ownership of cloud security posture
• Act as a coach and mentor and support fostering a learning culture within the team and ensuring continuous professional development

You:

• Significant and demonstrable experience of the design, implementation and operation of CSPM, CNAPP, CWPP, CIEM tools in Cloud environments, such as Defender for Cloud, Wiz, Prisma Cloud etc
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices including Well Architected Frameworks and CIS compliance
• Extensive experience of managing infrastructure as code and defining cloud controls as policy
• Experience with code and automation (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs)
• Significant experience in cybersecurity, including experience in a senior engineer position overseeing Cloud security and implementation.
• Extensive experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex cloud security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
