We are seeking a talented individual to join our public sector claims team. This role will be based in the Midlands, Cardiff, Reading or Leeds area. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Claims Consultant to work with our public sector client base (which includes local authorities, housing associations, government bodies and blue light services). Supporting clients through any losses they may have suffered and providing consultancy support on minimising the possibility of further claims in the future. This team provides Strategic and Operational Risk advice to the UK’s largest organisations. We are a professional services firm consisting of consultants, actuaries, accountants, and ex-lawyers.
We will count on you to:
- Manage an allocation of clients, ensuring each client receives the optimum claims service from its insurers and other service providers.
- Traveling to meet the clients as required.
- Identify the need and deliver project work at the request of both your clients and the wider Marsh client base.
- Establish effective claims management procedures and provide insightful analysis into the client’s total cost of claims.
- Help clients to understand the root cause of their losses, why they have happened and what they can do to minimise the possibility of them happening again.
- Report writing and training of clients
- Deliver internal teams and external client presentations
What you need to have:
- We are looking for someone with a strong public sector claims background with experience across EL, PL, Cyber, Property and/or Motor Fleet claims.
- Ideally you will have client facing experience and will have worked with organisations to advise on claims, reduction of claims spend, process improvements and/or claims trends
- Strong relationship management skills to work with organisations, insurers, loss adjusters, TPAs and lawyers.
