(Senior) Backend Software Engineer with Java/Python Expertise (m/f/x)

As a (Senior) Software Engineer, you will be working on innovative security- related data pipelining solutions, focusing on implementing and optimizing data workflows using frameworks like Dagster, creating context-aware cyber threat intelligence for Dynatrace customers.

What will you do?

• Design, implement, test, and deliver end-to-end data pipeline solutions in a cross-functional team.
• Actively contribute to our codebase using Java, Python and AWS as the main tech stack.
• Optimize performance and ensure the reliability and resilience of the data pipelines in your domain.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data workflows.
• Support colleagues, fostering an approachable and supportive environment.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of the software.
• Engage in Ops and quality assurance tasks such as using Renovate for dependency updates and working with AWS services.
• Embrace and improve agile practices to enhance team collaboration and project delivery.

What will help you succeed

• Technical study in Computer Science or a similar field.
• 3+ years industry experience in software development
• Good Java programming skills
• Experience with Python and willingness to get proficient with it
• Writing clean testable code
• Solid hands-on knowledge of automated testing and software delivery practices
• Interest in the cyber security domain
• Familiarity with agile practices and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Data pipelining frameworks like Dagster
• Understanding of containerization and Kubernetes
• Security space knowledge, including Application-Level Vulnerability management

• Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 50,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week). We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
