The Role:

We are looking to hire someone with proven experience within Equity Finance/Stock Loan Middle Office Functions. The candidate will aid the build out of the Middle Office functions and be responsible for managing all aspects of bilateral and triparty collateralisation and should have experience in managing such relationships in both an equity and fixed income environment. A self-starter, the candidate should be keen on partnering with the wider team (including front office) to ensure operational efficiencies. Cross-Asset & SFTR knowledge and experience is desirable.

The Team:

Clear Street’s mission is to become a single-source platform that serves a variety of investor types across multiple asset classes on a global scale. The Clear Street U.K. team is bringing Clear Street’s established equities, options, and fixed-income prime brokerage business to a new market. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Middle Office Equity Finance platform in the UK entity
  • Support projects, UAT testing and process improvement initiatives
  • Oversee bilateral and triparty collateral management
  • Develop and maintain operational KPIs, reconciliations, and margin calls.
  • Align closely with the Settlement team to manage fails risk to the firm.
  • Provide exceptional client and business stakeholder communication and service, acting as a key contact for Equity Finance operations
  • Support onboarding processes

Skills required:

  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in a middle office function working across: Collateral Management including Triparty operations (collateral receiver and provider) and managing bilateral secured financing operations.
  • Ability to partner with the Equity Finance Trading team to optimise inventory
  • Deep experience in managing operations risk items (recs, cash balances, nostro etc)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to quickly build relationships with external clients and counterparties, and internal stakeholders
  • Analytical approach with strong attention to detail
  • Operational Risk mindset
  • Procedure documentation
