Job Description

As a Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our team’s reporting strategy. This is a newly created position within our growing Planning & Resource team, which is responsible for the effective allocation, governance, tracking, and optimisation of resources in line with demand, priorities, and timelines.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Planning & Resource, you’ll be responsible for streamlining our data sets, offering insights to simplify and enhance existing processes, and reducing opportunities for human error - all while ensuring a high standard of data sustainability.

You'll join a small, agile team with a broad remit and high expectations. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative environment - someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is eager to contribute to the team’s overall success.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and then maintain our Resource reporting strategy. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure they get the information they need from our team
  • Collaborate with key teams that feed into the data set to ensure a high level of data integrity
  • Utilise visual data tools to provide insights and reports on resource alignment, operational performance, and resource optimisation
  • Support budget planning by analysing resource trends and identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Support our Engineering teams to create and visualize Engineering metrics
  • Develop and implement data governance policies to ensure data accuracy and consistency.​
  • Conduct regular audits of data processes to identify and rectify discrepancies.​
  • Upskill team members on best practices for data management and reporting.​
  • Lead initiatives to automate data collection and reporting processes to enhance efficiency.​
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Expert excel skills, ability to create macros is essential
  • High Power BI and SQL skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience of working with large data sets and creating actionable insights
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Desired:

  • Experience of using AI and/or Robotics
