What you'll be doing

  • Ensure the activity recorded to the general ledger is accurate and timely in order to prepare financial statements.

  • Review and perform general accounting journal entries. 

  • Perform monthly general ledger account analyses, identify and record adjustments. 

  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.  

  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger, depreciation, reconciliations and ensure all capital projects are properly recorded in the ledger. 

  • Liaison with non-accounting departments on accounting, finance and reporting related matters. 

  • Review G/L coding accuracy. 

  • Analyze monthly financials and explain monthly variances. 

  • Ensure Intercompany activity is properly recorded and reconciled. 

  • Assist with month end close process. 

  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements and coordination of the audit process. 

  • Maintain timely and accurate month end closing

  • Assist and support with tax work (VAT/CT)

 

What we look for

  • A 4-year Accounting degree.

  • ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP Financial systems.

  • Proficiency in FRS102 and US GAAP.

  • Strong understanding of Accounting and ERP software setup.

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong people skills.

  • Must be able to prioritize schedules.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate as part of a team.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, and accurate.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (including online/email methods).
