Our journey is just beginning, and we’re looking for passionate people to help us build a business that supports more people, in more places—without losing our people-first focus.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Schemes Account Manager to join our NMUK Broker Channel—the largest and fastest-growing part of our UK business. What You’ll Do:

  • Own the Relationship: Act as the main point of contact for broker partners, delivering swift, proactive support and building long-term trust

  • Lead Performance Reviews: Organise and run Quarterly Business Reviews, using data and insights to drive improvements and retention strategies

  • Champion Growth: Support the Head of Schemes Development in implementing our growth plan and onboarding new scheme opportunities

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Underwriters, Broker Development, Operations, Governance, and Claims to deliver seamless oversight

  • Analyse & Influence: Use performance data to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and articulate outcomes to partners

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in General Insurance, with a strong background in delegated authority business within the UK Broker/MGA market

  • Proven success in account management and scheme oversight

  • Strong customer management skills—internal and external

  • Ability to interpret and present performance data confidently

  • A proactive, self-starting approach with a passion for building relationships and getting results

Why Markel?

  • A great starting salary plus generous bonus scheme & strong benefits package…

  • 25 days paid holiday (pro rata) plus Bank Holidays, with the opportunity to buy / sell extra leave

  • Fantastic company pension scheme, private medical and dental cover, life assurance, travel insurance cover, income protection, season ticket loan as well as other great benefits on offer

  • There are countless opportunities to learn new skills and develop in your career, and we can provide the support needed to do just that!
