The Sales Development Specialist supports European sales efforts. Our marketing activities generate leads — businesses looking to keep their personnel safe. The Sales Development Representative is our front-line ambassador who manages inbound enquiries with the highest attentiveness, taking time and care to present how our solutions solve real-world safety problems. The outcome of this process is a stream of qualified customer opportunities that transition to our account owners for further relationship-building, product evaluation and sales. support other sales activities, customer order processes and customer engagement programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Present our solutions, answer questions and assess customer needs
  • Demonstrate Blackline technology and solutions to client teams via online meetings
  • Identify, capture and communicate the customer opportunities for the next stage of the sales process
  • Pass qualified leads to sales
  • Cultivate and follow up with inbound leads and contacts we met at trade shows and events
  • Ensure our CRM is up-to-date with relevant customer info for every pre-qualified lead
  • Ownership and maintenance of records in the CRM for customers and distributors
  • Keep track of lead metrics, conversions and other sales-related reporting
  • Determine time for conversion and what influences the time (industries, products, etc.)
  • Run lead warm-up report daily to determine follow-ups required
  • Run SQL to distributor report weekly to determine which distributors to follow up with on leads that have been passed
  • Assist with order entry, including ownership of Blackline’s lease process
  • Support outbound lead generation to develop leads and pass them to Sales Managers (some cold calling required)
  • Assist with completion of Tender requests.
  • Assist with back up to sales support (RFQ processing)

Qualifications/Education:

  • An engaging personality, excellent communication skills and an ability to quickly develop rapport on the phone
  • Excellent customer service skills, a desire to understand each customer’s needs and help find the right solution for them
  • The desire to grow professionally, to help drive sales and grow the business
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • At least 2 years working as an Inside Sales Representative at a manufacturing Company supplying technical products and services
  • Multi-Lingual is an advantage.
