As a Sales Assistant based in Salford you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations

  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude

  • Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending

  • Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 08.30am - 5.00pm and the occasional Saturday 08.00am - 12.00pm.

  • Prior industry or trade experience is advantageous

  • Previous Face to Face customer service/sales experience is essential

  • Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role

  • Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic
