We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. We’re always looking for ways to improve our products and ourselves. If this is you, we’d love to talk.
What You Will Do
As a Safety Specialist you will be supported by the friendly and professional team to gain a thorough insight in to how the site operates; from understanding the site organisation and management structure through to understanding the manufacturing processes we use.
You will report to the site Health Safety and Risk Manager and be a go-to person on site for all colleagues regarding H&S topics. Being naturally self-autonomous you will be able to plan, as well as support the arrangements of, and deliver Health & Safety training on site. You will contribute to the generation of monthly reports to measure performance against key performance indicators (KPI’s) together with promoting the role of Health & Safety across the site. You will also support the site leadership team in closing investigations.
Who are you?
Your application for this role will need to show your experience in a production environment working within health and safety. We would like you to demonstrate the effective impact on the business that your involvement in H&S based projects as well as day-to-day H&S activities have created.
You will also possess the following attributes:
- To prioritise and adapt to change positively
- To challenge others professionally and constructively
- Have a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Strong IT literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft office products, and the use of web-based H&S applications are also key requirements.
- A full driving licence as some travel may be required between our UK sites
