Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across three continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is dedicated people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

As part of our ongoing pursuit of excellence, we will be kicking off a significant Transformation Project to introduce S/4HANA, and as such we have created several positions to support this enterprise project (Project Nexus)

Role Purpose:

The S/4HANA Testing Architect is responsible for overseeing all testing activities within the S/4HANA ERP transformation project. This role involves developing comprehensive test strategies, managing testing teams, and ensuring that the system meets all business and technical requirements before going live. The Testing Lead will work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure that all components of the S/4HANA system are rigorously tested and validated, minimizing risks and ensuring a smooth transition.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-impact ERP transformation project with exposure to cutting-edge SAP technologies. The role is critical to ensuring that the organization leverages S/4HANA to drive business value and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a detailed test strategy and plan for the S/4HANA ERP transformation project, covering all phases of testing (unit, integration, system, user acceptance, performance, and regression testing).
  • Ensure that test cases cover both functional and non-functional aspects of the S/4HANA system, including data migration, integrations, and customizations.
  • Coordinate and manage OQ/PQ Testing with business users, ensuring that the system meets their requirements and expectations.
  • Find opportunities for test automation and implement automated testing tools and frameworks where appropriate.
  • Monitor the performance and stability of test environments, addressing any issues that may impact testing activities.
  • Provide regular defect status updates to collaborators, highlighting critical issues and potential risks.

Key requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP testing tools and methodologies, including SAP Test Suite, and other relevant tools such as Kneat.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading testing efforts in large-scale SAP implementation projects.
  • Expertise in test strategy development, test case design, and defect management.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

People come to Lonza for the challenge and creativity of solving complex problems and developing new ideas in life sciences. In return, we offer the happiness that comes with improving lives all around the world. The happiness that comes with making a meaningful difference.
