The Research Board advises TWI Council on all technical matters relating to the CRP and the application of its results in industry. Three technical committees report to Research Board (Engineering Committee, Materials Committee, and Manufacturing Committee).

The Role

As a Board Member you will help guide the activities of the CRP programme within the context of TWI’s Capability Development Programme, a coordinated investment programme to deliver technology that meets the needs of TWI’s Members.

You should also have a broad knowledge of materials joining and engineering processes, and an interest in industry trends and emerging technology.

Term of Office

You will be appointed for an initial term of 3 years, and will be eligible for re-appointment for one additional term (maximum 6 years).

This is a non-remunerated role and requires a time commitment of at least three days per annum.

Location

Meetings typically take place at Granta Park, Cambridge, UK but it may be possible to arrange virtual attendance on an ad-hoc basis.
