Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with a strong foundation in business analysis and a solid grasp of complex data environments. This role requires someone who is not only comfortable working with data but also capable of investigating, interpreting, and clearly communicating data-driven insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
  • Profile and document data to convey meaning as a foundation for data interpretation. 
  • Investigate complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with data teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and usability.
  • Develop and present clear, actionable insights using data visualization tools.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Participate in solution design and testing to ensure business needs are met.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a data-rich environment.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK, Agile, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong documentation skills, including data specifications and business requirements.
  • Proficiency in working with complex datasets and data structures.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to investigate, interpret, and describe data clearly and accurately.
  • Experience with data tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in data modeling or working with data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Background in a domain with complex data (healthcare, health insurance/payer, or population data a plus).
