The Opportunity

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join Fulton Hogan.  Based in Nelson, this role offers the change to become part of our high performing contracting team.  If you have a strong background in leading project teams and take pride in overseeing the successful delivery and execution of construction projects, this could be the ideal role for you.

Role Accountabilities 

  • Lead the projects team in the successful execution and delivery of construction projects (up to $10m)
  • Manage and direct contract administration, understand contractual requirements and expectations
  • Set performance expectations with Foremen/ Supervisors and construction crews. Monitor performance and address any issues with the assistance of the Divisional Manager
  • Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of contract subbies, material, plant and people at all times to eliminate down time on the job
  • You’ll also contribute in any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested

 What you’ll bring to the table

  • Civil Engineering Diploma and/or relevant industry experience
  • Roading and Construction experience (5-10 years)
  • Significant project experience in civil infrastructure and roading
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage great relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • A passion to succeed in business with a strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship qualities
