Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Chadderton based team. Providing support to the Senior Operations Delivery Manager, you will help to manage and schedule all business as usual and new projects. This role will be based at our Chadderton site – working pattern Mon – Fri – 35 hours. If you have a passion for innovation and fresh ways of working, then this is the role for you. This role will be based on-site five days a week initially, moving to four days on site and one day working from home.

The ideal candidate will have an agile mindset with an understanding of the software delivery process. You will understand what is required to ensure deliveries are on time and to a consistently high standard. You will be skilled at providing concise communication to all departments within the business. You will have a reasonable knowledge of all aspects of delivery from content, platform to production delivery and implementation of functionality within those platforms.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the Senior Operations Delivery Manager on the day to day running of projects and business requirements

  • Holding meetings with all relevant stakeholders to discuss priorities and weekly schedules

  • Managing content team roadmap

  • Reviewing solutions documents to ensure functionality and intended use is captured

  • Scheduling and reviewing test activities

  • Creating test strategies and testing schedules for all projects

  • Reviewing and signing-off test cases and test scripts

  • Managing issues in JIRA with VB (Video Bet) Projects Team (review, prioritise and assign issues, chasing fixes to challenging timescales)

  • Reporting, highlighting concerns with project progression/status

  • Responsible for liaising with Product Team and Marketing to manage asset delivery

  • Handover to Deployment required server settings/changes, functionality review and issue limitations

  • Where needed, supporting the testing of different products and updating of test documentation

  • Liaising with key stakeholders outside the Test Department, providing support and keeping them informed of delivery timescales

  • Line management responsibilities

Qualifications

Skills and experience

Excellent understanding of software testing processes and techniques, and the software development life cycle *essential*

Experience as a Test Lead on different projects, including defining scope of testing and managing day to day work of a group of testers *essential*

Excellent management and planning skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to prioritise work to meet project deadlines

Able to provide support when needed, and build strong working relationships

Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision to deliver high quality work in a timely manner

Results driven, with great attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills

PRINCE2 – desirable

ISO experience - desirable
