Job Description
Role: Project Manager – Cyber Vulnerability Test Coordinator – Preston Hybrid (2 to 3 days a week) –
Rate: Up to £450 a day (Inside IR35)
Location: Preston 2 to 3 days a week
Contract Duration: 6 months+

Purpose of the role
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and coordinate technical assurance activities such as penetration testing, application code review and cyber exercises with business stakeholders, IT and OT technical teams and third-party test partners.
Principal Accountabilities
• Work with the Cyber Resilience team to create an annual Test and Exercise plan, develop individual test plans and manage all planning and preparation activities to completion (e.g. Penetration Tests, Code Reviews etc.)
• Develop and maintain a Test Lifecycle process including guidance documents for each test / exercise type to engage stakeholders
• Produce reports – translating technical documents into business language
• Schedule and chair engagement meetings with stakeholders and third parties, supporting preparation of materials including action tracking and decision recording
• Act as Change Coordinator responsible for raising the ‘Request for Change’ for each test, obtaining approvals from key stakeholders through to test completion
• Complete all required procurement and onboarding activities for the third-party test partner with the Cyber Financial Lead
• Lead small change activities
• Notify and manage escalations and ensure reporting is accurate, transparent and appropriate
• Input into security communication, awareness and training for colleagues.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Experience within a coordination role, preferably within project management. Some IT or OT technical knowledge would be helpful.
Certifications
Required:
• PRINCE2, APMG or similar project methodology
Desirable:
• Cyber security qualifications (bonus but not essential)
The successful candidate must demonstrate
• Ability to communicate and build strong relationships with business functions and external partners
• Proven background in a coordination role across diverse business functions
• Experience developing plans, tracking activities and reporting at multiple levels
• High proficiency using Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal, written, listening and questioning skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities
• Team-focused mentality with experience working in large multi-site organisations.
