  • Maintain consistency of character voice, tone, branching narrative and player agency.
  • Ensure all narrative content aligns with the IP, creative vision and Fusebox narrative standards.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues before release.
  • Champion best practice across interactive fiction writing and narrative design.
Team Leadership
  • Line manage and develop a team of writers across different experience levels.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and development conversations.
  • Coach writers to improve their storytelling, technical writing and delivery.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across Product, Production, QA, Art and Design.
  • Work closely with external IP partners throughout development.
  • Present creative ideas, narrative documentation and project updates with confidence.
  • Balance creative ambition with gameplay, monetisation and production requirements.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines outstanding storytelling with strong leadership and organisational skills.
You'll ideally have:
  • Extensive professional experience writing narrative content for games or interactive media.
  • Experience leading writers or narrative teams on large-scale creative projects.
  • Excellent editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of branching narrative, player agency and interactive storytelling.
  • Experience working with licensed IP or established brands.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and project management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative, positive and solutions-focused approach to leadership.

Desirable Experience
  • Experience working on mobile free-to-play games.
  • Experience supporting live service products.
  • Familiarity with narrative design tools and scripting pipelines.
  • Experience using player data and insights to inform narrative decisions.
  • Experience collaborating with external licensors or commercial partners.
Why Join Fusebox?
You'll have the opportunity to shape stories experienced by millions of players worldwide while leading a talented team of writers. You'll play a key role in the creative direction of our projects, influence how we build interactive narratives, and help develop the next generation of narrative talent at Fusebox.
If you're passionate about storytelling, enjoy leading creative teams and thrive in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
