Project Information Manager/Principal SpecialistThe Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major project delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site.
The partnership is delivering a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.
In delivering its pipeline of large-scale infrastructure projects, PPP is creating opportunities for its people, supply chain, economy and communities.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Holds or eligible to apply for UK security clearance.
Desirable:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in the nuclear industry is an advantage.
Experience and Skills:
Essential:
- Excellent knowledge and experience of information management on capital projects with regards to people, processes, and tools.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and outside of regular hours if required
- Ability to coach and mentor others
- Ability to analyse a problem and identify potential solutions.
- Experience of building integrated teams and working in a collaborative environment
- Experience of working within highly regulated and security conscious environment
- Be capable of planning and executing Information Management and related transformation projects
- Experience of integration and implementation of technology solutions
- Excellent communicator, leader and team builder
- Experience in procurement process from initial engagement to award.
- Proficient in the use of full MS Office 365 / SharePoint/Teams eco system.
Desirable:
- Experience of design engineer and project execution processes and knowledge of software such as Autodesk, AVEVA, etc…
- Experience in capturing innovations and driving them into practical solutions.
- Experience of working with and applying industry best practices and standards such as ISO 19650
- Familiar with data standards such as CFIHOS
- Understanding and application of government security classifications.
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
General:
- Ensuring HSSE goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
- Work collaboratively to develop digitally enabled solutions that adds value in terms of HSSE, Quality, risk, schedule and cost.
- Be involved in the build, deployment and ongoing maintenance of digital solutions and services on the project
- Work closely with wider stakeholders to maintain awareness of IM requirements.
- Provide feedback for future development and improvement of IM strategies, plan, standards, policies, processes and procedures.
- Active participation within wider IM community.
- Guiding, developing and managing junior members of the team
- Develops and encourages others to develop creative ideas that will improve products, services, or processes.
- Assist in evaluating, implementing and deployment of CDE and subsequent operation.
Project Specific:
- Develop and deliver project information management strategy in line with overall digital delivery strategy and the project execution plan.
- Responsible for ensuring the overall project processes and standards are in line with the IM strategy and Programme standards.
- Interpret and communicate programme and project specific contracted information requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage digital delivery budget for the project (software, hardware, resources and training) and ensure funding arrangements are in place and monitored
- Implement policies relating to information security, confidentiality, export controls and protection of intellectual property with the project.
- Ensure project team members are appropriately aware of the use of digital tools and understand what IM is within the project and their roles and responsibilities.
- Promote effective collaboration and knowledge sharing by maximising the use of project portal, MS Teams and other available technology.
- Continually searches for ways to improve customer service, including the removal of barriers and providing solutions.
- Work with other department leads to build the collaborative working culture to ensure the success of the project and overall programme.
- Act as an advocate on information security best practices across the project and utilising assistance from digital security experts within the programme team.
- Develop, maintain and timely expediting of Project and Programme reporting requirements and procedures.
- Prepare and make presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake any other job/task which has been assigned.
