As a result of our exponential growth and transformation, we are seeking an ambitious Process Engineer with a strong passion for overseeing innovative projects. The role involves working on our new NDP (New Drug Product) Facility, one of the few multimillion-pound, entirely new pharma facilities currently being built in the UK. This sustainable facility supports the future growth of the Wrexham site and offers a great opportunity to be actively involved over the coming years, with approximately 90% of the time dedicated to NDP-related projects.

About the Role

As a Process Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our capital projects, managing or contributing to the delivery of specific projects or work packages, and/or a small portfolio of projects. Your role will involve delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to CAPEX governance and project management processes. Your technical expertise will guide the successful execution of engineering solutions that meet our rigorous compliance and safety standards.

What will you be doing…

  • Provide technical leadership in process, mechanical, or electrical engineering.

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct technical appraisals and lead design reviews.

  • Manage project work packages, align with objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.

  • Collaborate with the project engineering team and engage site personnel.

  • Coordinate with vendors for design reviews, fabrication, installation, and testing activities.

  • Support and execute commissioning and qualification activities.

  • Identify and promote innovative solutions and process improvements.

  • Adhere to current GMP requirements and develop Quality Risk Assessments.

  • Manage safe equipment startup, shutdown, and job control practices.

What are we looking for…

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Professional qualification/association with IChemE, IMechE, ISPE, or similar is preferred.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of Project management and engineering best practices withing a cGMP or regulated environment

  • Understanding of Engineering design processes.

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment and utility systems (preferred).
