The Role

The Program Analyst role is an opportunity for an early career professional with experience in Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk, and/or Managed Security Services to move into a more consultative, customer facing Information Protection role.

As part of the EMEA Information Protection Managed Services practice, you will support delivery across PCMS / Applied Services, helping customers translate business needs into effective security controls, reporting, operational processes, and continuous service improvements.

Your day to day

  • Information Protection Delivery Support
  • Support managed service delivery across Email DLP, Endpoint DLP, Cloud DLP / CASB, Insider Threat Management, Adaptive Email DLP, and Data Security services. DLP & Insider Risk Policy Lifecycle
  • Assist with requirements gathering, rule configuration, testing, monitoring, tuning, documentation, and ongoing review of DLP and ITM policies. Alert, Incident & Data Analysis
  • Review alerts, investigate policy triggers, identify false positives, document findings, and escalate notable risks or service issues where required. Customer Reporting & Governance
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting, service reviews, action tracking, meeting notes, trend analysis, and customer-facing governance activities. Practice Development
  • Contribute to runbooks, standard operating procedures, templates, training materials, and internal knowledge sharing for the PCMS / Applied Services team.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Information Security, Data Protection, Security Operations, Service Delivery, Governance, Risk, Compliance, Consulting, or Managed Services.
  • Hands on experience with Proofpoint Information Protection tooling, such as Email DLP, Endpoint DLP, Cloud DLP/CASB, Insider Threat Management (ITM), Adaptive Email DLP (AEDLP), or Data Security.
  • Practical experience reviewing DLP, Insider Risk, Email, Endpoint, or Cloud security alerts, including documenting investigation outcomes and identifying false-positive or tuning opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of DLP and Insider Risk policy concepts, including keywords, dictionaries, regular expressions, detectors, data identifiers, sensitive information types, and policy testing.
  • Experience supporting operational service delivery activities such as customer reporting, service reviews, incident summaries, action tracking, escalation, or governance packs.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into clear operational tasks, policy recommendations, service actions, or improvement opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple customer or internal workstreams.

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, Defender for Cloud Apps, or wider M365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with non-Proofpoint DLP, CASB, Insider Risk, DSPM, Endpoint Security, or Data Classification technologies.
  • Understanding of data protection, privacy, and security frameworks or regulations such as GDPR, UK DPA 2018, UK GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, or PCI DSS.
  • Experience with reporting, dashboarding, workflow, or ticketing tools such as Excel, Power BI, ServiceNow, Jira, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Experience participating in customer workshops, service review meetings, stakeholder interviews, or consulting style engagements.
  • Ability to identify service improvement opportunities and contribute to runbooks, standard operating procedures, templates, knowledge articles, or training materials.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, SC-401, ISO 27001 Foundation, CISA, CISSP Associate, or equivalent.
  • Additional European languages advantageous
