This position reports to:

In this role you will be responsible for developing the UK go-to market strategy for the  Switchgear Business Line, expanding and maximizing the full ELDS portfolio in the targeted growth segments, whilst driving the UK requirements and approvals with the Global Business Line team.  The role will represent ABB’s MV Electrification Products and be responsible for the Switchgear budget and driving product and solutions development along with sales to achieve the growth ambitions.

Your Role and Responsibilities 

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. 
 
- Work model: #Hybrid - Home based but working from ABB offices and customer sites where required 

 

  • Creating, planning and ensuring implementation of the local go-to–market product marketing strategy including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning. 

  • Ensuring achievement of established targets through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. 

  • Focusing on achievement of total demand orders (ABB and 3rd Party), growth margin %, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS), inventory turn on finished goods and requested on-time delivery for assigned products. 

  • Developing and implementing annual marketing plan in conjunction with relevant business areas and product groups 

 

 

Qualifications for the Role 

 

  • With a minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, you are able to demonstrate your established skills with product marketing and Switchgear products. 

  • You are immersed in working with Switchgear products and solutions within exciting markets such as Utilities, Datacenters and Renewables. 

  • You possess an enhanced knowledge of product development and marketing strategies 

  • You are passionate about working with customers closely to develop solutions and long-term relationships 

  • HND or equivalent in Engineering and/or marketing disciplines 

  • You hold current driving license valid in UK
