Product Manager

Bupa Place, Salford Quays M50 3SP flexible, hybrid – 1-2 days per week in the office

Permanent

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Salary £55,000 - £68,500 depending on experience + bonus

The role

You’ll manage a product or set of existing Consumer health insurance products to ensure that they meet the demands and needs of our customers and prospects and achieve growth and profitability objectives.

Working with the Senior Product Manager, and using key customer, industry and competitor data, you’ll define strategy and deliver product and process change across the customer journey from acquisition to retention.

How you’ll help us make health happen

You’ll

  • Own the product suite strategy, leading new and existing product development.
  • Manage all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Manage product governance activities including annual product reviews.
  • Measure and monitor performance and implement appropriate remedial action.
  • Be the primary contact for all aspects of external and internal product enquiries.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the health insurance industry and economic climate, our customers’ needs plus the regulatory and competitive landscape
  • Plan and lead delivery of product related initiatives via cross functional teams
  • Work closely with wide ranging stakeholders across the business including pricing, finance, legal and compliance, operations, Change, IT and marketing. 
  • Maintain continual contact with front-line areas to help train, educate, inform, keep up-to-date and to obtain feedback that can be used to shape future products and propositions.
  • Line management of one direct report

You

  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong commercial awareness and Product Management experience gained in a large, regulated organisation – Financial Services or similar.
  • Able to inspire and deliver innovative solutions through cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in major aspects of the marketing mix, particularly product and service design,
  • A creative, commercially minded strategic thinker
  • Credibility to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Results- focused, with effective interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Solid working knowledge of Change/Transformation processes and governance
