Product Manager

Capita One Housing is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join their exciting and innovative team, working as a Product Manager for Capita One Housing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering cutting-edge products for the Social Housing Sector by supporting the development of the product strategy and business requirements.
From market research through to requirements, support of build and final test verification, you'll be focused on ensuring that the One Housing platform delights our customer base. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that everybody’s aligned and working towards a common goal. This role requires an exceptional communicator, who is great at influencing and can navigate complex challenges while maintaining focus on delivering value to our customers.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

• Curate and Prioritise Product Backlog: Owns the product backlog and collaborates with end-users and business stakeholders to understand and help document business requirements.

• Governance and Process Enhancement: Translating business requirements into product requirements.

• Collaborative Roadmap Development: Develop product roadmaps, fostering alignment and shared vision across stakeholders.

• Scope Accountability: Being accountable for the scope being delivered by the activities in the assigned product area, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

• Stakeholder Liaison and Strategy Alignment: Build business cases to define market uptake, pricing and margin analysis. Liaising on an ongoing basis with business stakeholders on product strategy and project priorities. Liaise and manage requirements with 3rd party suppliers, systems integrators or other organisations as required.

• Transparency and Dependency Management: Ensuring that there’s full transparency on the Development department’s activities on the assigned product area, so that all relevant stakeholders are aware of the status and any dependencies.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven Product Management Experience: Demonstrate a successful track record in product management, showcasing the ability to bring software products to market effectively and drive their success.

• Strategic Thinking and Problem-solving: Demonstrate excellent strategic thinking capabilities, coupled with a deep understanding of customer needs. Proactively identify challenges and formulate innovative solutions to address them.

• Expertise in Housing Management Software: Exhibit a profound awareness of technology, products, and industry developments related to housing management software.

• Effective Communicator: Demonstrable experience in influencing positive outcomes by using communication techniques, getting the most from people and influencing change.

• Exceptional Presentation: Possess outstanding presentation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organisation. Able to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.

• In-depth Knowledge of Social Housing Sector: Maintain up-to-date and detailed understanding of the social housing sector, including challenges faced by organisations. Stay informed about the landscape of housing management software across the market.
