About this role in the team:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Product Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive the development and growth of our Layer1 product, ensuring exceptional user experiences and innovative solutions for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of digital payments and financial technology while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Our Product and Engineering organisation is split into small autonomous teams, which are each built to be able to execute their own strategies independently whilst collaborating with the rest of the organisation. You’ll ultimately be accountable for evolving the user experience of Layer1 to be super  intuitive, automated and scalable - a vital strategic product for us and the clients we serve.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Define the roadmap for the Layer1 features and associated services.
  • Research and understand our competitors to ensure we always stay ahead
  • Extract commercial insights from the data
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Legal, Banking teams to design the future of the product
  • Work with the engineers in your team to scope, design, and build new features
  • Drive internal and external workshops focussing on design, planning, and delivery.
  • Collaborate directly with Go To Market team to ensure our product is distributed and commercialised appropriately
  • Contribute to our growing product-led culture across the business and within the Product team

What we need from you:

  • Experience working in a product-led company, owning a high-growth customer-facing payments product, particularly B2B.
  • Deep understanding of how API based payment products work
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about the crypto payments landscape and technologies.
  • Experience working with engineers on a daily basis, and leading the team with context rather than authority
  • Customer-obsessed, experience in putting the customer experience first.
  • Strong collaboration skills - you’d consider yourself a “people person”, just as happy working with engineers on specific tasks as you are presenting to the company on KPIs and feature launches, gathering feedback from customers and the sales team, and generally working cross-functionally across the business
  • A true self-starter, not waiting for direction but leading the charge of your domain
  • Experience in a heavily data-driven environment, using data to guide decision-making at every stage of the product life cycle
  • A passion for growth, obsessively focussing on how we can grow usage and adoption of our products

What you can expect from us:

  • Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growth
  • Meaningful ownership in the business through our employee option scheme
  • Flexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heart
  • A culture built on passionate growth minded people
  • A flexible approach to holiday
  • Opportunities to travel to our offices around the world, in locations such as London and Cape Town, to collaborate with your colleagues
  • An open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, it’s culture, and it’s opportunity sets

At BVNK, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive team. While you may not meet all of our requirements, we’d encourage you to apply if you meet the majority of our expectations. You may be a great fit for this role or another role in our team.
