About the role

Financial Assurance is the financial intelligence layer built natively on top of ENSEK's platform, providing the gross margin modelling and month-end reporting capabilities that finance teams at leading energy retailers rely on for revenue recognition, financial control, audit evidence and margin assurance.

As Product Manager for Financial Assurance, you will own the product end-to-end — defining strategy, shaping the roadmap, writing detailed specifications and driving measurable outcomes. You will work at the intersection of product management, financial accounting, data modelling and energy retail, partnering closely with engineering teams and senior finance stakeholders.

This is a hands-on product role requiring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to build trust with finance professionals while delivering valuable, scalable software solutions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Own the strategy, vision and roadmap for Financial Assurance, using customer insight, commercial input and product data to continuously evolve priorities.

  • Write high-quality product specifications and requirements that engineering teams can build from with confidence and minimal clarification.

  • Define, track and improve key product outcomes, using data and performance metrics to guide decision-making and prioritisation.

  • Conduct user research with Finance and Operations stakeholders, bringing evidence and customer insight into roadmap and investment decisions.

  • Prioritise initiatives based on value, effort and strategic importance, making trade-offs transparent and maintaining focus on the highest-impact work.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders including Financial Controllers, Finance Directors and Revenue Assurance leaders.

  • Champion product-led thinking while balancing customer needs, business priorities and delivery focus.Key outcomes:

  • Experience working closely with finance teams in commercially demanding environments and understanding the challenges they face.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interrogate data models, identify quality issues and translate findings into product decisions.

  • Working knowledge of data modelling concepts, data pipelines and analytics, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.

  • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis and decision-making.

  • Experience within energy retail, utilities or another regulated industry is advantageous.
