The Opportunity

The Director of Product for Procure to Pay at Zone and Co will lead the strategic vision and operational execution of the Procure to Pay product suite. This senior leadership role will oversee cross-functional teams, drive product innovation, and ensure scalability and efficiency throughout the Procure to Pay lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep expertise in procurement and payment solutions, a passion for delivering customer-centric products, and a proven track record of scaling SaaS products in the fintech space. They will work in alignment with company strategy to meet customer needs and ensure products are efficiently delivered across business units, growing and mentoring a team of Product Owners to elevate the Zone Procure to Pay Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Execution: Define and execute the product strategy for the Procure to Pay suite, aligning with broader business objectives and ensuring customer-centric outcomes.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through build to adoption, ensuring seamless integration of procurement and payment workflows for customers.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer focus to elevate product capabilities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Go-To-Market, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and other business units to ensure successful product delivery and alignment with strategic initiatives.

  • Market & Customer Insight: Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new features.

  • Product Roadmap & Prioritization: Maintain oversight of the product roadmap in JIRA, prioritize new developments with strategic guidance from the VP, and provide regular progress updates.

  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage product budgets, ensuring resource allocation is efficient and cost-effective while maintaining alignment with company goals.

  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX) and industry standards relevant to procurement and payment processes.

  • External Representation: Represent Zone Procure to Pay products in internal and external forums such as webinars, networking events, and marketing events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on Procure to Pay SaaS products.

  • Deep understanding of procurement and payment processes, including supplier management, invoice processing, and payment automation.

  • Proven track record of launching and scaling successful SaaS products in the fintech or B2B space.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable product strategies.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing C-suite stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar, and familiarity with analytics platforms.

  • Experience with financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX) and ensuring compliance in product development.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a focus on adaptability and customer-centric innovation.
