Salary £41K - £45K depending on experience

You’ll sit alongside a passionate and talented multi-disciplinary experience design team, made up of user researchers, product designers, content designers and design operations, who are focused on creating the best digital experiences for Bupa’s customers in the UK.
As Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing and shaping unique, customer-centric experiences from concept to launch within one of our product squads. You’ll work collaboratively in an agile environment alongside experience design peers to create positive experiences that are easy to use and solve the needs of Bupa’s customers. Growing healthy partnerships with your product squad, you’ll support the Product Owner and Design Leads to deliver human centred solutions to the items on the backlog.
You’ll be member of the product design community of practice contributing to peer feedback sessions and learning from other designers in the team.
How you’ll help us make health happen
- This is a midweight level role, with a focus on UI design but you will be required to have a good understanding of UX Design and its principles as we look to support your progression.
- Designing for Bupa.co.uk and other browser-based experiences across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Translate customer insights into compelling and seamless customer experiences in line with our brand.
- Working closely with project stakeholders to understand business requirements to deliver design solutions within project timeframes.
- You will contribute to playbacks, design crits and other communities of practice sessions to highlight your discipline’s work, enable constructive feedback and elevate the quality of the craft.
- Contribute to the inherent pillars of our team’s culture; psychological safety, celebrating success, and learning from each other.
- Support and adopt the use of the organisation’s Design System, ‘Anatomy’ and contribute to the community.
- Create assets for the design system, including component updates and iterations.
You
- You are a product designer who is passionate about designing great customer experiences across multiple products and services.
- Experience of delivering user interface designs in fast paced organisations and creation of the assets required to support user testing and concept communication.
- A good knowledge of an end to end, double diamond process.
- A positive attitude in workshop settings, with a willingness to get involved and contribute.
- A champion of the customer throughout whilst staying in touch with the business requirements.
- A ‘design thinker’ with empathy for user needs, a willingness to explore ideas and implement a ‘test and learn’ approach before launch.
- Capable of capturing the imagination of your stakeholders and design peers using good storytelling skills.
- Accustomed to working in an FCA regulated business is a bonus.

- Knowledgeable across our toolkit that includes Figma, UserTesting.com, Hotjar and Adobe Analytics.
- A champion for accessibility who acknowledges the needs of users with different backgrounds, abilities, cultures, and environments.
