Product Design Manager

Your work will impact and influence the user experience of a product used by millions of people daily. As a Manager of Product Design, you will work closely with other designers, engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

This position reports to the Director, Product Design.
What you'll do

• Manage and lead a growing and business-critical team of product designers
• Mentoring individual contributors
• Inspire, empower and motivate designers to do the best work of their career. Help build a successful team by mentoring, coaching, and elevating others
• Continuous collaboration and process improvement with Design, Design Operations, Content, Research, Engineering, Product, and Business teams throughout the product life cycles
• Distill complex problems into digestible steps, and communicate proactively
• Contribute to the larger design team culture

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

• 8+ years of experience in Product Design. The ideal candidate has 2+ years experience in leading a product design team
• Experience leading and scaling a team in a rapidly scaling complex organization
• People-focused, critical and strategic analytical thinker
• Proactive and clear communicator with excellent analytical skills, facilitation, and organizational understanding
• Successful track record of building and managing impactful, collaborative product design teams
• Experience facilitating design thinking workshops with cross-functional teams
• Highly collaborative and relentlessly customer-focused
• Experience managing remote, geographically distributed teams is a plus.
• Deep thinker and natural communicator who can tell compelling stories that inspire action
