Purpose of the role:
Our Product Team is responsible for creating and managing our digital customer journeys. We focus on building and improving these journeys to deliver the best possible user experience for our customers.
In this 10‑month placement as a Product Analyst Intern, you will support the team in making sure our products deliver meaningful value for both customers and business stakeholders. You will help analyse and work as part of a cross-functional delivery team to improve and build these journeys. Contributing to ii’s ambition to create the leading platform in the self‑directed investing market.
Key responsibilities/what you’ll do:
- Work with Product Analysts, Product Managers, Technical Leads, business stakeholders and other key individuals to help define and document the initial ask for new change requests in the form of requirements catalogues, epics, user stories and other means
- Support Product Analysts to carry out detailed analysis of the business needs, requirements, impact, scope, risks, benefits and technical dependencies
- Contribute to the analysis process including, the authoring of good quality user stories, which will contain, business requirements, API integration points, data and data mapping, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements
- Help architects shape requirements solutions and work with the test team to build out test strategies
- Play an active role during refinement/planning in clarifying the requirements and defining the sub tasks that need to be carried out to deliver the story
- Help measure the success and identified learnings of the changes you’re working on – working closely with the Data team and Product Managers to ensure that we’re moving the business forwards in the right direction
- Provide business and technical answers to questions or information required by the squads or projects in a timely manner
- Support the Product team in ensuring business readiness of changes being delivered, including business process mapping and customer service training
- Provide analysis and support for live issues and incidents, working with other support teams towards a speedy resolution
- Support Product Managers during discovery work, providing elements of the technology context to help build business justification cases for new opportunities, including contributing to any assessment of potential 3rd party solution providers

Salary: £28,300

Requirements
To apply for this role, you will need:
- To be eligible to work in the UK
- To be over 18 years old as of 1st September 2026
- To be a 2nd year student in a full-time undergraduate degree with an industry placement year, in a subject relevant to this role
- To have achieved a minimum of 104 UCAS points at A-level (grades BCC) or an equivalent qualification (e.g., BTEC DMM)
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) grades A* to C (new grades 9 to 4)
