Job Description

The Procurement Support Intern role is designed to gain practical experience in Procurement. The role provides hands-on exposure to core procurement processes, supporting routine and transactional activities such as purchase order processing, supplier onboarding, and basic contract administration.

The intern will focus on developing foundational knowledge in procurement operations, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with internal procurement policies, and supporting stakeholders and suppliers to enable efficient and timely purchasing activities.

Employees in this role contribute to service excellence by delivering quality support and learning to apply Indirect Procurement Policy and procedures in day-to-day activities.

Individual Accountabilities

  • Support creation of purchase orders in Ariba and/or SRM in line with Bose policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining procurement documentation and reference materials to support standardized processes and SOP adherence
  • Provide first-level support to the requester community, escalating more complex issues as appropriate
  • Support upload and maintenance of contracts in Ariba
  • Collaborate with procurement team members to support issue resolution and follow-ups
  • Assist in creating and updating basic reports for operational tracking and analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and share suggestions with the team
  • Develop foundational knowledge of procurement processes, tools, and techniques
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Build effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders while developing communication skills and confidence
  • Service Excellence: Demonstrate a customer-focused mindset by supporting internal and external stakeholders and responding to requests in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications, Education and Technical Skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Previous internship or academic exposure to procurement, finance, or operations is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and digital collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint)
  • Exposure to procurement systems (e.g., Ariba) is an advantage but not required
  • Strong written and verbal English skills; additional languages are a plus
  • Available for a hybrid, 9-month internship role
