ImpactWe are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead our checkout and post-purchase domains, which consists of building the products, systems and experiences necessary to facilitate a seamless order experience. This role is critical in forming the strategic position of how Shipt facilitates digital commerce. In addition to helping to lead this strategic body of work, this candidate must execute on this strategy by building upon both existing underlying capabilities and improving the end-to-end customer experience, taking into account every touch point - customer delight is of the utmost importance throughout the customer journey.
Ideally, this candidate will have in-depth Product Management experience in ecommerce and have a comprehensive understanding of lower funnel retail strategies. This candidate should also have proven results in working closely in both customer acquisition, retention, and conversion. This candidate will also have a solid background in improving processes, and in particular, building out systems that leverage the strength and need for the knowledge of our Shipt team members and partners, and take into account where we can automate and leverage generative AI. In addition to building the strategy and capabilities, this candidate should be excited about the opportunity to optimize the ordering experience contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty, and incremental benefit for Shipt.

You will get experience working with a cross-disciplinary team shipping real-world products to our customers around the nation. You will also receive hands-on mentorship from your friendly teammates on topics ranging from design to career advice. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a strategic product initiative that is believed to be critical to the success of Shipt’s marketplace

  • Develop innovative product solutions that cater to our customers, constituents, and utilize the best of Shipt’s operations, our technology, and data science capabilities

  • Expand and evangelize best practices for scoping, building, validating, deploying, and monitoring products

  • Develop Product roadmaps, and educate both internal and external stakeholders at all levels to drive implementation, measurement, and optimization

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations leadership to formulate roadmaps, influence decision making, and drive prioritization

  • Find opportunities for improvement across the business and assist in decision-making across team

  • Proving product and strategic initiative efficacy and driving business results 

  • Advocacy of any resources or support that this initiative requires for success

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience

  • 5+ years of ecommerce experience

  • 3+ years of experience leading major cross-functional/company initiatives

  • Strong expertise in funnel optimization and conversion

  • Experience with AI and generative AI solutions in high visibility products

  • Experience in developing advanced product solutions for workforce efficiency and automation

  • Deep expertise in customer-facing product management

  • Must be able to lead, influence, and inspire with and without authority

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with high level stakeholders

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.
