Description

At EFG (ESL FACEIT Group) we create worlds beyond gameplay, where players and fans become a community. We pride ourselves in having a corporate social responsibility which is that “IT’S NOT GG, UNTIL IT’S GG FOR ALL”.

Our passion, craft, and DNA align to create and shape the world of esports, gaming tournaments, leagues, events, and holistic ecosystems through our millions of players, fans, and heroes, as well as through our people and culture.

About the FACEIT platform
With more than 25m users playing 30m matches every month FACEIT is the leading competitive gaming platform. We provide gamers the best experience possible by making sure we are always on top of our tech – and continue to deliver industry-leading features to our already awesome platform.

Our Frontend Developers take full responsibility of the entire SDLC and are constantly working on amazing new features. Our tech stack is built around React, Redux, TypeScript, and Next.Js.

We believe in iteration over long-running projects. At EFG we ship incremental improvements to our platform multiple times a day. We learn from each other by providing constructive feedback to our colleagues, through code and peer reviews.

Our teams are organized into cross-functional efforts that look after various verticals of our product, such as Matchmaking, Anti-Cheat, Tournaments, Game Servers, and many more.

We are looking for like-minded people who can bring new, exciting ideas to not only their team but the entire Frontend community within EFG and beyond.

As a Principal Engineer at EFG, you are working on large-scale projects, however, we understand the importance of still being in touch with the code. If you are passionate about frontend technology, while being a determined leader, this role at EFG enables you to have an outstanding impact on the esports industry.

  • We believe in distributed leadership. As a Principal Engineer at EFG, you are an expert and role model for other engineers, acting as the go-to person for large-scale and high-impact initiatives.
  • You are a product-minded engineer, understanding that technology acts as a catalyst for delivering great user experiences and value.
  • Being a facilitator for technical conversations inside and outside of your team.
  • You are fostering innovation within the organization while carefully balancing it with the needs of a very demanding gaming community.
  • You are carefully balancing between staying on the cutting edge of frontend technology and keeping in mind the stability, longevity, and maintainability of our platform.
