About the role


The Pricing & Analytics Manager is responsible for developing and optimising Matillion’s pricing and packaging strategies to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. This role involves conducting data-driven analysis, competitive research, and customer usage and behavior insights to inform pricing and packaging decisions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales, and finance teams.


We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role will ideally follow our hybrid work structure where employees work 2 days a week in the Manchester office. However, we can be flexible for the right person.

What you will be doing

  • Pricing Strategy & Analytics: Analyze pricing data, customer usage, and market trends to develop and optimize pricing models that drive revenue and align with business goals.
  • Competitive Research: Monitor competitor pricing, packaging, and positioning to provide actionable insights that enhance market competitiveness.
  • Packaging & Deal Optimization: Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to refine product tiers, optimize deal structures, and develop pricing enablement tools.
  • Customer Usage Insights: Assess usage patterns to identify adoption trends, churn risks, and upsell opportunities, informing pricing and product improvements.
  • Reporting & Communication: Create dashboards, reports, and presentations to provide leadership with key pricing insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Governance & Compliance: Maintain pricing integrity through governance frameworks, discounting guidelines, and regular audits to ensure consistency and adherence.

What we are looking for

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in pricing strategy, data analytics, or similar roles within SaaS, technology, or consulting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or ThoughtSpot.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS pricing models (e.g., subscription, consumption-based) and an understanding of behavioral economics or pricing psychology (preferred).
  • Business & Communication: Strong business acumen, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to analyse market and competitive trends and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred).

At Matillion, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is £48,320 - £72,480, but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
