The Security Squad

Our Platform Tribe is building the foundations for Wise’s rapid pace of innovation and customer trust. By providing an internal platform as a product, we create a best-in-class developer experience, enabling our engineers to release new features fast and confidently, without compromising reliability and security.

The Security Squad is part of the Platform Tribe and offers a comprehensive suite of products that make sure we manage our security risks through governance, we detect and protect Wise from unauthorised access, and we respond to and recover fast from security incidents. Vulnerability Management, Threat Management, Change Management, Access Management and Compliance are core products and strategic themes of the Squad.

The Analytics Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Platform Tribe and Security Squad. This role is pivotal in shaping how we manage compliance and risk through data. You will play a key role in building robust data pipelines while using insights to drive strategic opportunities within Wise's security and compliance frameworks.

About You:

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Python, with experience in automation and building data pipelines.

  • Strong expertise in working with tools like DBT and Airflow for ETL processes.

  • Skilled in using REST APIs to develop and manage data integrations.

  • Proficient in SQL and familiar with data visualization tools such as Looker, Superset, PowerBI, or Tableau.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive data-based decision-making.

  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent ability to build trust and influence across various teams, conveying complex concepts clearly to influence diverse stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solver: Proactively identifies and implements solutions to improve data processes and analytics.

What will you be working on?

  • Data Engineering → Build and Optimise Pipelines: Develop, optimise, and maintain data pipelines using Python, REST APIs, DBT, and Airflow to ensure seamless data flow for compliance and risk management.

  • Compliance and Risk → Define KPIs: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine key performance indicators necessary for monitoring compliance and risk for our IT systems, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.

  • Opportunity Identification → Harnessing Insights: Utilise data to identify opportunities for enhancing compliance processes, mitigating risks, and driving higher efficiency throughout the organisation.
