JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a HR Manager to join our People Team supporting the UK and Ireland. This role would suit someone who is either a HR Manager looking for their next challenge or someone who is looking to step up into this level/role. This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Maternity Cover Position, ideally starting in February 2025, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring presence in our Manchester office at least 2 days per week.

We are looking for someone to continue to support our growth, ensuring that DEPT® remains an enjoyable and fulfilling place to work for our people. This person will oversee the entire people's lifecycle. This role is a strategic role as well as a tactical role, providing visionary leadership around sustaining our culture and developing our team as well as implementing the day-to-day processes to deliver it. You will work with the People Team to design and roll-out initiatives to support our people and develop their skills.

Applicants must also have experience and knowledge of HR practices within both the UK and Ireland, including a strong understanding of Irish employment law and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with leadership to implement the DEPT®’s vision for people-related initiatives across the employee lifecycle  including performance development, employee engagement & culture, succession planning, learning & development, health & wellbeing. 
  • Lead high-impact projects such as Ireland’s benefit alignment. Oversee the employee engagement satisfaction surveys, and deliver against action plans. 
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring we are compliant and following best practice in how we handle all employee related matters.
  • Improve and oversee the performance development cycle ensuring that every employee has a career plan and defined objectives. 
  • Implement company-wide learning & development programmes. Work with the Leadership team to understand how people can progress in our agency, and have the tools they need for personal and professional development.
  • Provide insightful and actionable analytics on our team, candidates and wider talent pool to drive data-based decision making.
  • Support and coach managers with leading their teams and establishing great working practices with their peers.
  • Oversee the on-boarding of new team members, ensuring they are integrated well into our ways of working.
  • Making sure that everything you do contributes to our people KPIs: happy Depsters, voluntary attrition, and health & well-being.
  • Visit our Dublin office as needed, building strong relationships and rapport with our Ireland-based leadership team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Are an experienced People Advisor or Manager, preferably within a digital agency / the tech industry.
  • Have strong knowledge of both UK and Irish labour law, policies and best practice.
  • Emotionally intelligent with an ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
  • A people person; passionately invested in helping people grow and develop.
  • Confident knowledge of both the traditional and more progressive sides of the HR world, able to advise on the right mix to suit our business and culture.
  • Experience of enacting HR policies and practices, including performance reviews, performance management and policy communication.
