We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Pension Data Scientist to join our digital team. This role is pivotal in building a comprehensive digital analytical strategy for our core digital pension products.
The successful candidate will utilise their expertise in data science, AI, Gene AI, machine learning, and big data to drive data-informed decisions, optimise product performance, and enhance user experiences.
The candidate is expected to build and lead a high-performing Data Science, Generative AI, AI/machine learning Engineering and Operations team using agile practices.
You will work closely with the Digital Product Managers to understand our digital analytics, reporting focus and customer problems, to execute behaviour research to give us insight on wider propositions and define customer testing strategies.

Job Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a robust digital analytical strategy for our digital pension products.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and success of digital initiatives.
- Design and oversee data collection processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Manage large datasets and ensure they are properly stored, cleaned, and accessible for analysis.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of user data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for product enhancement.
- Utilise advanced statistical, machine learning, and cognitive AI techniques to derive actionable insights.
- Build predictive models using machine learning and AI algorithms to forecast future trends in user behaviour and product performance.
- Use predictive analytics to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
- Leverage big data technologies to process and analyse large volumes of data efficiently.
- Implement big data solutions to uncover deep insights and drive innovation in digital pension products.
- Explore and integrate AI and CAI solutions to enhance the functionality and user experience of digital pension products.
- Develop and deploy AI-powered tools and features that improve personalisation, automation, and decision-making.
- Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to integrate data insights into product development.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance user experience and engagement.
- Create detailed reports and visualisations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Present insights and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner to support business decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science, AI, CAI, ML, and big data.
- Implement best practices and innovative approaches to continuously improve analytical processes and outcomes.
- Ensure all data analytics activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.

What are we looking for:
- Experience in Data Science, AI/machine learning transformations
- Expertise in Generative AI, AI/machine learning practices, tools, techniques, and industry trends
- Proficiency in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting, ethnographic studies, and diary studies. Understand when and how to apply each method to gather relevant insights.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret both qualitative and quantitative data gathered from user research activities. Ability to identify patterns, trends, and user behaviours, and derive actionable insights to inform decision-making.
- Experience of working within Financial Services and pensions would be preferable
