Job Description
Kinaxia Logistics are looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to assist with the processing of monthly and weekly payroll’s across Group Companies adhering to group processes and procedures, ensuring effective communication and accurate and timely preparation and submission of HMRC RTI reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for up to 5 weekly and monthly payrolls with no direct reports.
- Working closely with the subsidiary business units to prepare and process the weekly/monthly payrolls to ensure the information is accurate;
- Provision of weekly/monthly reports to ensure business units can make payments on time;
- Responding to employee queries, specifically around Tax and NI to ensure a world class service is being delivered;
- Assisting in the development of processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of payroll activities within the team;
- Continually audit the accuracy of information held within the payroll department to ensure HMRC standards are being adhered to.
- Manage the complexities of working with all subsidiary companies of Kinaxia Logistics each with their own individual cultures and ways of working.

Key skills and experience:
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Effective communication skills at all levels both written and verbal
- Time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of payroll systems preferably Sage and Cascade Payroll
- Producing both weekly and monthly payrolls
- Running weekly and monthly payrolls, including hourly paid employees
- Maths GCSE or equivalent
