You will be responsible to find, negotiate and develop new partnerships with companies that have clients sending large volumes overseas. Some examples include companies helping people to relocate, buying property abroad or offering services for expats.

You will work closely with a Partnerships Sales Representative who will support you sourcing prospects, outreach and preparing meetings. Your role will be to convert qualified prospects into new partnerships by building relationships, pitching Wise services, negotiating partnership agreements and ensuring a smooth launch of the collaboration.

As part of your role, you’ll need strong selling skills to convince partners to work with us, be comfortable networking, meeting prospects in person and representing the company externally with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate already has experience working with international professional services firms and understands the ecosystem supporting expats and globally mobile individuals.

You are a strong communicator, commercially minded and hands-on, with the ability to build trust and close partnership deals.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Find new partnership opportunities

  • Work closely with Partnership Sales Representative to build pipeline by sourcing prospects, support outreach, meeting preparation and follow ups

  • Review and prioritise sourced prospects to ensure they align with the company’s partnership strategy

  • Lead partner meetings, pitch our product and clearly articulate the added value of Wise.

  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders within partners

  • Attend networking events and industry gatherings to meet new prospects

Close and launch new partnerships

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design partnership commercials structures and agreement terms

  • Create partnership proposals and negotiate promotion terms with qualified prospects.

  • Strong understanding of different KPIs to make commercial decisions.

  • Work with Partnerships Account Growth Manager to ensure a smooth management handover of newly launched partners

Reporting on new partnerships

  • Regularly review deal progression on the pipeline to ensure you’re meeting desired KPIs.

  • Weekly check-in with partnerships sales representative to discuss progress, blockers and any suggestions to maximise pipeline progression.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to review new deals performance, evaluate success of partnerships and rectify strategy if needed.

  • Identify new trends and key periods to find pipeline opportunities to help shape the team strategy.

Qualifications

This role is ideal for candidates with mid level experience who are passionate about unlocking true value through new partnerships.

  • Managerial experience or significant experience in partnerships, business development or sales in the following areas:

    • financial services or fintech

    • professional services for private clients:  law firms, accounting, tax advisory, wealth management, family offices or global mobility.

  • Strong networking ability and building relationships in person

  • Excellent communication and pitching skills with the ability to clearly present value propositions

  • Demonstrable commercial mindset, ability to negotiate agreement terms and deal with objections.

  • Track record of self managing projects and working independently to achieve your goals.

Nice-to-have

  • Strong network built within international professional services

  • Demonstrable understanding of cross borders financial services and international mobile individuals

  • Experience attending industry events and building partnerships through networking
