Here’s a summary of the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Legal and Data team within our dynamic Governance department. Reporting directly to the Legal Counsel, this is a new role where you will play a vital part in providing essential commercial paralegal support to our legal function.

You will contribute to the team's mission of supporting YouGov's growth, protecting our assets and reputation, and ensuring we operate ethically and lawfully in all our global activities.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

  • Maintaining and updating legal documentation for a variety of sales and supplier agreements.
  • Providing valuable input and support on specific legal deals and matters as they arise.
  • Preparing legal documents for signature and ensuring smooth completion processes.
  • Creating and diligently maintaining organised legal records and broader business information in line with company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with the wider Governance Team on crucial compliance matters, including risk management initiatives and the implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Providing essential support to the Head of Legal Operations with a range of tasks and inputs as required.
  • Research national, international and local laws to support advising YouGov’s business.
  • Monitor internal compliance with our global legal, privacy and compliance policies and work with the wider Governance department on global governance matters.

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:

  • Proven prior experience operating successfully as a Paralegal with a Commercial environment (International organisation preferred).
  • Excellent academic background, ideally including a law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Experience within an intellectual property or data-centric industry such as marketing, media, tech, advertising, and/or publishing is a significant plus.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents and reviewing commercial contracts to identify potential compliance risks.
  • A pragmatic and process-driven approach to managing tasks and providing clear reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders.
