As Operations Manager, you'll manage accounts, enhance services, build customer relationships, analyze operations, and improve efficiency in road freight logistics.

We are a growing team looking for an Operations Manager (Road Freight/ UK import and export/Customer and Carrier facing) in the Commercial department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics.
The role is in our Manchester office, Media City.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
As Operation Manager you’ll work on interesting responsibilities like managing and growing existing accounts by bringing forth new services, expanding existing services offered, with a focus on increasing efficiency, adding value, maximizing profitability through the account’s supply chain. In this role, you will work on-site with your peers five days a week, fostering creativity and producing impactful results through face-to-face interactions. - Maintaining and growing the existing customer and carrier portfolio.
- Consistently executing daily business (receiving orders, data entry, informing customer about shipment status etc.).
- Establishing relationships with day-to-day contacts.
- Selling and negotiating at a transactional level.
- Identifying new opportunities with current customers outside the existing scope.
- Establishing and pro-actively maintaining relationships with management level contacts both inside and out of your organization.
- Gathering, analysing, and preparing relevant information for business reviews and being an active participant.
- Following up the status of your customers' transport operations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
- Equivalent experience in logistics sector is advantage
- 2 years of experience in an account management or commercial role preferably within the logistics field.
- Excellent English verbal & written communication skills.
- Additional EU language is an advantage
- Energy and willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.
- Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others.
